"Survival Skills - Getting Started"
is available on CDROM

The Survival Skills - Getting Started CDROM has everything you need to know if you are thinking about learning to ride or just starting out on two wheels.

Guides to law and licences will explain how to get onto two wheels. Once you have your provisional licence, the CDROM will offer you comprehensive help from a qualified instructor to get you through your test with minimum fuss. It uses a dual format of:

  • How to do it right
  • What goes wrong and how to avoid that

"These are the things I like to know,
so I can get an idea of what to expect"

There are 5 sections:

  • Introduction including the value of training, the law, what the test requires and what to do when you pass
  • The Basics including intro to the bike, posture, braking, gears & throttle, steering and slow control
  • Planned Riding including riding in traffic, positioning, OSMPSL, rear observation, see and be seen, anticipation, signals, signs and markings, speed and progress, road surfaces, weather and dark
  • On the Road including starting and stopping, following vehicles, parked cars and traffic, junctions, roundabouts, one way systems, dual carriageways, overtaking, traffic signals, pedestrian crossings
  • The Test Itself including briefing and format, special exercises, maintenance and balance questions

"With the Getting Started CDROM, you have all the information
you need about learning to ride at your fingertips"

It's based on 10 years of taking riders to test and seeing what goes wrong, answering the questions that I get asked by riders, and aims to fill in the gaps in the hurried explanations that the short courses everyone takes...

"The Survival Skills CDROM is a work of genius. I'll definitely be recommending your CD to a few people who I know will benefit from it."
Kevin Wells

I've got [book by well known US writer] and both of the Survival Skills CD-ROMS. Of the two, I found Kevin's ebooks to be by far the most useful - they're excellent.

"Just what I was looking for, a special present to the wife to congratulate her on passing her test."
Tony

"Perfect! Figured out what OSM/PSL means already! I had been wondering! I see many moments passing.... my wife may not be so grateful!"
